NYC Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Water Supply Speaker, Nov. 29


Omicron Delta Kappa (the national leadership honor society), the President’s Office, and the Center for Leadership and Service will be welcoming Mr. Paul V. Rush, P.E. to campus this Thursday, November 29 as an invited leadership speaker.  Mr. Rush will give a presentation to the College community focused on his various leadership experiences at 7pm in the UBC Room.

Given the destruction in New York, it will be interesting to hear what Mr. Rush will share--he may have some interesting observations or comments related to Hurricane Sandy.
 
This event is open to the public. RSVP is encouraged, though not required to Katie Dantsin, kdantsin[at] moravian.edu.

Moco Effort in Staten Island

Thank you to the 12 members of the Moravian College Community who spent their time on Saturday November 17th in Staten Island NY to help with the relief effort for victims of hurricane Sandy!

Volunteer Opportunity for December 4 or 6-Students Needed


New opportunity for students to volunteer...
Travel to Staten Island on December 4 or 6 to sort and box clothes that has been donated for storm victims. Departure from the Religious Life Office at 1:00PM or as soon after that as possible. Return around 9:00 PM. Dinner plans in New York will depend on the preferences of participants. The work will be done at Castleton Hill Moravian Church: http://www.castletonhill.org/mission-projects.html#clothingdistribution. If you are interested in volunteering, please email communityservice@moravian.edu and indicate that dates you are available.
