Volunteer Opportunity for December 4 or 6-Students Needed


New opportunity for students to volunteer...
Travel to Staten Island on December 4 or 6 to sort and box clothes that has been donated for storm victims. Departure from the Religious Life Office at 1:00PM or as soon after that as possible. Return around 9:00 PM. Dinner plans in New York will depend on the preferences of participants. The work will be done at Castleton Hill Moravian Church: http://www.castletonhill.org/mission-projects.html#clothingdistribution. If you are interested in volunteering, please email communityservice@moravian.edu and indicate that dates you are available.

Women's Basketball Teams Up to Help Out

Moravian College and Union County College women's basketball players.

The Moravian women's basketball team collected donations to send back with the Union County College team located in New Jersey in an area battered by Hurricane Sandy. Thank you to the Moravian Women's Team for their efforts. Go Hounds!

USG presents The Hound Sound, Concession Proceeds to Relief

USG Presents The Hound Sound on November 17, 2012 in Johnston Hall. Concession proceeds will benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Thank you USG!

Drive to Help Shelters in Toms River

Bertie Knisely, director of leadership giving at Moravian College, shared that members of East Hills Moravian Church are coordinating a drive of the following items.
New Items
Formula
Diapers
Baby food
Everything for a baby - pacifiers, bottles, etc.
Packaged (so they know it's new) underwear for Men, Women, and Children (all sizes)
Feminine Hygiene Products
Socks
Pet food
Pillows
Pet Beds/Cushions (used ones only if cleaned and in good condition)
Non-perishable food
Water and Gatorade
 

Used Items
Clothing for 3, 6, 9, 12, and 18 month olds
Jackets (all sizes and ages)
Towels (nicer ones for people, not as nice ones for animals)
Blankets
Animal crates
 

Union County Community College Collection


The Women's Basketball Team played Union County Community College on November 7.
